How can a user with just Read and limited access delete a comment in SharePoint2016 on premise.

A user on SharePoint 2016 on premises managed to delete a comment on one of the news articles. The user only had Read and limited access which does not give him the right to delete anything. is there a loophole or glitch from the system that he managed to delete that comment?

    Could you provide some screenshots about comments on news article?

    Whether this user can delete comments on one news article or all news articles?

    Please check the news article whether has unique permission.

    And in the permissions page, check the user permission.
