How can I remove the `sample` catalog from Azure Databricks Workspaces?

All Azure Databricks Workspaces come with a sample catalog owned by Databricks that I cannot seem to remove or hide. I have tried dropping it, and I have also tried revoking and denying permissions on the catalog, but I keep receiving an error that is specific to the sample catalog. I have looked for solutions online without success. Can someone please help me with this issue?

Did you try removing the individual items under the default catalog?

2023-10-31T22:35:49.4666667+00:00 I tried, but I get the following error: "[UC_COMMAND_NOT_SUPPORTED.WITHOUT_RECOMMENDATION] The command(s): Drop sample tables are not supported in Unity Catalog."
I get the same error on a workspace with and without Unity Catalog enabled.
