To be honest, I can’t find any steps to create Generic Tests in Visual Studio 2022. I suspect it is out of support in VS2022.
To confirm it, I recommend you directly report to Product Team from Visual Studio, click on the “Help” menu> Send Feedback > Report a Problem.
