Unable to load user profile

Hello,

I am encountering a problem at a customer's site. Several PCs are encountering a problem when logging in to the user profile with the following message: "Connection failed by the user profile service. Unable to load user profile.

The more days go by, the more users are affected.

As far as I'm concerned, there's no link with AD, but I'd rather ask, and I'm not aware of any update that may have caused this problem recently.

Do you know what might be the cause?

Thanks

Frédérico

The error message "Connection failed by the User Profile Service. Unable to load user profile." is typically associated with Windows user profile issues. This error can occur when your user profile becomes corrupted or damaged, making it impossible to load your user account.

you can try fixing the user profile in the Registry Editor.

    Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList.

Look for a folder with a ".bak" extension under "ProfileList." It may be named the same as your affected user profile.

Delete the ".bak" extension from the folder name (e.g., change from "S-1-5-21-123456789-1004336348-725345543-1003.bak" to "S-1-5-21-123456789-1004336348-725345543-1003").

    Reboot.
