Some users not getting "open in sharepoint" in Teams channel

Hi,

Some of our users not able to get the option "Open in Sharepoint" From teams channel where from exact same teams channel, some other users/members/owners are able to get that option. How do i make it available?

Hi @GoodResource

If "open in sharepoint" doesn't appear in the Files tab, click the three-dot icon to the right of the navigation bar above the Files tab to see if that option is available.

If there is no "open in sharepoint" option, try clearing the cache or checking if Teams is updated to the latest version:

@Anonymous we have tried those steps already and some users still not able to see the link. from reverse approach how do we hide it from the end users to view this option?

Hi @GoodResource

There is currently no way to prevent users from seeing this option.

Is the user who cannot see this option a guest user?

@Anonymous no users are internal having teams license. But they have file native entry disabled as we do not want them to upload any files. For them they can go to sharepoint online like to upload files but do not get upload option on Teams. For them, we want to remove "open in sharepoint" option.

Do you want to turn off the user's Open in Sharepoint in the team file tab?

Since files in Teams are saved in Sharepoint, this feature cannot be turned off.To get this feature more quickly, you can send a feedback directly to Microsoft Feedback to add it in future updates.

Many features of our current products are designed and upgraded based on customers’ feedback. With requirements like this increase, the problem may well be released in the future.
