User unable to be found in the search for people

We have a single user who's unable to be found in the search bar for Teams. This account is active and has no unique policies applying to it. I've found a potential solution from searching for related tickets - turning on scope directory search, but this would impact other features.

If a user is active in Microsoft Teams but cannot be found in the search bar, there are a few possible reasons for this. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
- Check the spelling of the user's name. Make sure you're searching for the correct name and that there are no typos.
- Check that the user is part of the same organization as you. If the user is in a different organization, you may not be able to find them in the search bar.
- Check that the user has a valid license for Microsoft Teams. If the user's license has expired or been revoked, they may not be searchable in Teams.
- Check that the user is not hidden from the address book. In the Microsoft 365 admin center, go to Users > Active users, select the user, and then click Edit. Under Contact information, make sure the "Hide from address lists" option is not selected.
- Check that the user is not blocked or disabled. In the Microsoft 365 admin center, go to Users > Active users, select the user, and then check their status. If the user is blocked or disabled, they will not be searchable in Teams.
