Sinking to a Power BI created Data Flow using Data Factory CDM sink

Hi,

I've created a Power BI Data Flow with a single entity and I would like to use Data Factory to push data to it. I am unsure what options I should be using in the Data Factory inline CDM sink. I can see I have a model.json file in the Power BI Data Flow but the Data Factory CDM sink only seems to support a manifest file.

The image below shows the Power BI Data Flow in the Azure Data Lake Gen2 account on the left and the Data Factory CDM sink options on the right.

I'm unsure how to map the data flow model and folders to the options in the sink.

Has anyone encountered this and knows how to map the options to allow sinking into the Data Flow folder? Is this possible?

    Hi @AndyDCutler,

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thanks for posting the query.

I checked the past conversations with the Product team about this and got confirmed that Azure Data Factory (ADF) does not support writing to model.json file. Also, I observed that there is discussion on Power BI team to add manifest option. I would recommend you to add ideas in ADF feedback forum and Power BI forums that are closely monitored by the product teams and will be implemented in future releases.

Hope this helps! Please suggest for further queries and we will be glad to assist.
