MS Server 2012 R - Does Not Restart, Will only Shut Down

I have two identical ASUS P9D-C motherboard servers. About four months ago both of them stopped accepting a reboot command and simply shut-down. After chatting with ASUS they have advised me that this is clearly a Microsoft update issue. No other server I administer has this issue, only these two ASUS.

There was a post about Intel Management engine interface back dating a driver to 2013 but I found that effortless. (Intel C22x MEI NULL HECI driver file).

All of it seems to happen with the same MoBo

I'd check the latest ROM bios, firmware, chipset and driver support packs have been installed from manufacturer.

    Hello ,

Please run command sfc /scannow to detect and repair system files.

Please press Ctrl+Alt+Del, and then in the lower right corner please select restart to see if it is helpful.

In addition, you could run command shutdown -r -t 0 as an administrator in CMD to restart.

Finally, if all above options were not successfully proceeded, please enter the safe mode to check whether the issue was still existed. If yes, it may be caused by a system abnormality.

If you want an in-depth investigation, I would also suggest you contact Microsoft Customer Support and Services where more in-depth investigation can be done so that you would get a more satisfying explanation and solution to this issue.
