Hello folks,

is there any way to create gpo or how to set system to logoff locked users?

Scenario

  1. User is logged in on PC, share with his colleagues
  2. after 4 hours of work he does press windows+L to lock his profile and leaves the PC station
  3. another colleague comes and logs on this PC and does the same after 4 hours
  4. after 8 hours, there are 2 accounts logged on PC but in lock state

How to achieve, that those 2 accounts will be automatically logged off after 10 minutes being in lock state? So there is no user profile logged when next day somebody wants to login on this PC. Thanks in advance for any tips

    Hello Aiki_007,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

As I understand, the machine is in workgroup, the users are local user accounts on the machine and they sign in the machine locally, am I right?

If so, I am afraid there is no such GPO setting to sign out the two accounts automatically.

Why the two users sign out when leaves the PC station?

You can restart the PC when next day somebody wants to login on this PC.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any question or concern, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,
    Daisy Zhou

Those are both domain accounts and its not only 2...that was just scenario what happens. Sometimes there are 5-6 users who do not logout but just lock computer with Win+L combo. I need somehow to log them out without restarting the PC. Since those are in domain, is there any GPO for that or some other mechanism?
