Hello everyone.

We are encountering an issue with the "new" Teams in Outlook 2016.

Whenever we try to set a new meeting we are getting the following error message :

"To schedule a Teams, make sure you're signed in to Teams.

If we try with the "Teams Classic" it is working fine.

Please advise.

Kind Regards,

Lucas

    Hi @ Lucas Vorms

According to research, this may be a temporary integration issue. As a workaround, we recommend that you try using Outlook web to create meetings or use Teams classic.

We will keep you informed as soon as there are any updates. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.

    Hi,

we can confirm the same issue. As Global (Org-wide default) Teams Policy is set to "Microsoft controlled" as standard we denied it with "not enabled" in the policy for now. Since the white paper and several usecases with the option "classic Teams as default" did not work in our environment we stopped fiddling with it.

Today suddenly our tenant was appearently "chosen" to be updated to the new teams client. It destroyed several client installations - we reverted to an older install file that we had put in a temp folder and reinstalled classic.

Fix this issue ASAP otherwise the new client is not useable in a hybrid state domain with on premise exchange 2016 / outlook 2016 client.
