We'll have a Azure VM with SQL Server 2022 (not managed instance) and we would like to create a linked server connection to Amazon (AWS) RDS Oracle database. If this is possible, please provide detail steps. Thanks

    Hi K M,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

If you say you have azure VM with SQL 2022 that would be a managed instance. Pls confirm if yours is Azure SQL database, or a database hosted under managed instance.

If it is azure sql database then you won't be having linked server option, you can use pipelines from azure data factory after creating a linked service inside it.
