Can we send and receive an emails from external mailbox to internal user mailbox in EXO & Exchange server?

For example: ******@externaldomain.com is external mailbox and now I wanted to send all or certain domains of emails wanted to forward from there to internal user mailbox called ******@internaldomain.com.

I know we can create a forwarding rules or just set the mail forwarding in exchange in external messaging system but I was looking for any other ways available which we can use.

Do you mean instead of implementing this from the external message system, you are trying to accomplish it by taking action from the internal user mailbox or internal mail system side?

If this is the case, I am afraid it's not feasible. From what I am aware of, this can only be configured from the external user's side.

Yes you read it right. I want to setup it from our EXO side and not from external user email system.

Then as we discussed earlier, this is not possible. There's no option available in EXO side to setup the forwarding as you described above.

In fact, as I understand it, this doesn't seem like a reasonable need. Provided that you really manage to do this from your internal EXO side, then the other way around, there might be other external users that can also setup this kind of forwarding from their side so that they can get forwarded messages that are originally sent to your internal users. This doesn't sound good for the sake of the email security in your organization.
