Azure Fabric with Purview - no store data in azure

Hi
Would like to know if it is possible to use Fabric to share out data via API/Connector etc without storing the data inside Azure.
Can fabric work some process like a middle tier , where it can provide a connection from the source and transfer the data to the destination without keeping the data ?
