Why cannot I edit welcome page of Document Set

Hi,

I would like to edit the welcome page of document set, but I cannot do it?? the edit button on the page is gray.

Default: Document Set can be edited.
My define Document Set: cannot be edited, the button is gray.?

Is it supported by Modern Page? or just only classic view.?

    Hi Emily,

    I just figure out what happened, if we have multi document sets in the same document library, I just can edit the first one, another one/ the others cannot be edited.

    Another thing is, the Welcome Page of Document Set cannot be presented in the Modern Page?? Is it correct??

    The welcome page of document set only be supported in the classic page.

    Please check whether you have enough permission for editing document set properties.

    Go back to document library, click the document set, then edit document set properties.

    is that so that all document sets in your doclib use the same content type? (it may be checked by adding Content type column to doclib) If yes then changing welcome page for one of them will affect also others. In order to be able to modify welcome page for different document sets independently they should use unique content type inherited from Document Set - see e.g. Help please with SharePoint Document Sets Welcome Page Issue .
