Citrix RDS Licenses

Hello everyone,

we have a Citrix farm consisting of Windows Server 2022 workers as virtual machines.

Which RDS licenses are necessary here and how do they have to be installed?

Are these the right ones?

Windows Server Per Server External Connector

Windows Remote Desktop Server Per Server External Connector

If so, how do they have to be recorded?

1. Windows Server Per-Server External Connector License: This is required because your Citrix farm is made up of Windows Server 2022 workers. Each user needs an external connector license to connect to Citrix farm.
2. Windows Remote Desktop Server External Connector License: This is also required because you are using Citrix farm. Each user needs an external connector license to connect to Citrix farm.

3.For Citrix farm, you need to use a Microsoft RDS license to authorize users to access virtual machines. You need to purchase a sufficient number of RDS licenses to cover your number of users. The process of installing an RDS license depends on how you deploy it. If you are using an RDS deployment, you can install licenses on the RDS License Server. 4.You can use Microsoft Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC) to record your licenses. In the VLSC, you can view your license details, including the number of licenses and expiration dates.

thanks for your answer. About the situation

We have a citrix licence server and 8 vda/Citrix Worker. So we bought the following licences:

8x Windows Server Per Server External Connector

8x Windows Remote Desktop Server Per Server External Connector

My colleague who certainly took care of the project has resigned. Is there a guide for this installation of this licences?

And the what did i have to choose?

So we have licences by Server (Windows Remote Desktop Server Per Server External Connector). So i can't choose this.

Any idears?
