Windows 10 1909 - Freezing when Offline

Hello Everyone,
I'm facing a strange issue with our Domain Clients, when they go offline (not connected over LAN or WLAN) they freeze.

To explain the situation:

IF I'm working connected inside the company or at home over DirectAccess (over LAN or WLAN) I can use the client without problems.
Then if I loose internet connection (or to replicate the issue) I disable the LAN/WLAN - the system freezes.
I'm not able anymore to open Excel, Word, TASK MANAGER, My Computer, . . .

Strange thing is, IF I do the login while OFFLINE - I can work without problems.

So apparently it's happening only if I was connected to the internet, and then I loose the connection.

Has someone already had the same problem?

Thanks in advice.

    Hi,

    Welcome to MIcrosoft Q&A.
Is there error ID 1001/6008 in Event Viewer when this issue happens? If there any other error message at that time?
You can disable 3rd party antivirus software to check if we can fix this issue.
Try hold Win + R , enter taskmgr to bring up task manager

Try click file/run new task in task manager to open explorer

You can also try update the system to a newer version to check if we can fix this issue.

    Best regards,
    Molly
