My Minecraft: Bedrock Edition won't update, and every time I try to, it won't work.

Hi. So, I want to crossplay with my friends on Switch, but when I try to, I can't because while the Switch is on 1.20.2, my Minecraft is still on 1.19.71. And when I try to update it, it never works. I get an error message. Can you help me, please?
