Hello.

I encountered a problem updating windows server 2016 Standard version 1607 (os build 14393.4704) (WU client version 10.0.14393.4651 shows this in the wsus logs)

Changed the name of the folders with the update downloads.

I did sfc /scan... as well as dism /online check and scan

Recovered a damaged BITS configuration, re-registered the dll

Did a reset

Winsock settings

Check that the WSUS server listed in the registry is correct and accessible

I collected SUSclientid and registered for WSUS again

I manually installed the downloaded update package.

Tried installing DISM.exe /Online /Add-Package /PackagePath

I did the installation from sconfig

All these steps did not help solve the problem of installing updates; an error appears that “The update is not applicable to your computer”

WSUS, BITS, Appreadnes services are running.

Changed the settings in IIS WSUS "File Name Extension: = .esd

    Based on the error message in the logs, it seems that the update is not applicable to your computer. This could be due to a variety of reasons, such as the update being incompatible with your OS version or architecture, or the update already being installed on your computer.

    You have already tried several troubleshooting steps such as resetting, checking BITS configuration, and verifying the WSUS server listed in the registry is correct and accessible, but the issue persists.

    One possible cause of this issue is when the number of updates to be synchronized exceeds the maximum number of installed prerequisites that a WSUS client can pass to SyncUpdates. To fix this issue, follow the steps provided in the "Resolution" section of the Error 80244007 when a WSUS client scans for updates article.

    Updates are disabled on Microsoft, but they are not on my WSUS. In the screenshot above, the updates that are available are not installed manually, and new ones are not installed, for example, for 22 years and 23 years.
    The error is that the system does not understand that there are updates for it, the reason is not clear

    What is the actual KB you're attempting to install on this box?

    The ones you've shown are expired and superseded by many others and shouldn't be installed, but rather their superseding updates be installed instead.
