Delete HarmonyBackup Folder

S-Soft 646 Reputation points

I've made a big mistake and installed the ZoneAlarm spyware, although I uninstalled it after 1 day but a folder named "HarmonyBackup" is created on my main SSD drive:

As seen, no way to modify permissions.

I hope there's a way to remove the crapware from CheckPoint.

They claim to have a solution here:

But it requires you to register to see the solution, after registering, it says:

Contact Check Point Support to get a Hotfix for this issue!

The most disgusting dirty way on the globe, CheckPoint is just a big spyware like Pegasus!

Please help :(

    Are there and subfolders or files?

    Change the owner to your account or the administrators group. Grant Authenticated Users full control. Then you should be able to delete it.

    this does not work. it is not good what Checkpoint does here. i understand they tried to find a way against ransomware, but with this undeletable trash they will lose customers. Please tell us how we can delete this trash. maybe they did something in the registry, so the buttons are greyed?

    @MotoX80 Please

    It is a true shame for CheckPoint, after many tries with their support and their childish non-working solutions, here's their response after one week:

    Note that I installed ZoneAlarm on drive C but this folder was created on my drive E which is 853 GB with all my data on it, system restore is completely disabled and I use TrueImage to restore my C to the point just Windows/drivers/apps were installed, now, their shameful response:

    I'm sorry for the delay, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the harmony folders left on your PC after removing ZoneAlarm.
    Since you just installed, ZoneAalrm we recommend doing a system restore and revert your PC to time before you installed ZA. This way we can be sure that all files related to ZoneAlarm are removed.*

    Hi, I've just done it. My solution was to use a program called 'EMCO unlock IT' which I found on Bob Ombs Rescue disk. Very easy - in a Win PE environment it installed Unlock IT to the Explorer menu then it was just click menu - unlock, then click menu delete. On reboot my 4 HDDs were all without the Harmonybackup folders. Note: This worked for me. I'm not saying it's the best or the only.
