Azure Batch autoscale PreemptedNodeCode variable when will be enabled?

The customer wanted to follow-up on this to see if it's still in the works. About two months ago, I noticed that this variable suddenly started working in all the autoscale formulas! It even worked for a few weeks! But then, sadly, it suddenly stopped; once again always evaluating to 0 in all of my autoscale formulas.

So I just wanted to check-in and see if it's still rolling out, or if there was an unexpected issue that came up?

Original question from July 2023.

The customer has been updating their autoscale formulas and wanted to take advantage of the PreemptedNodeCount variable. There is a good amount of documentation on the variable, as well as examples, but there's a warning on that page that states that it doesn't work. I haven't been able to find any reason as to why it's disabled, or any documentation stating that it will ever be fixed. Do you know if there are plans to make this variable work again, or why it was even disabled?
