SCOM 2022 agent upgrade installs APM

I don't use APM with SCOM and install my agents with the NOAPM switch. I just found that after upgrading my test environment from 2019 to 2022, that when I approve agents that require update from the console, APM is getting enabled on my agents. I know it's easy to uninstall APM by executing msiexec.exe /fvomus “<server>\Agent\amd64\MOMagent.msi” NOAPM=1, but I don't want it to install at all.

Is there a way in preventing APM from getting enabled with the console upgrade/approval process?

    Hi,

There might not be a specific switch or setting within the SCOM console upgrade/approval process to exclude APM during agent upgrades.

We create an override task to changes the switch “NOAPM=1”, we can multi-select a lot of agents and run this task on many at a time.
