Hello,

I need to renew the PXE Certificate following our expiration table in Service-now...

  • Is it a new certificate?
    • do I need a CSR?
  • Is it a renewed certificate from one under the mmc > Certificates> Personal list?
  • Is it the same certificate as the Distribution Point Certificate?
  • Is a Web Server Certificate?
  • Should I use the ConfigMgr Web Server Certificate template?
  • Should I use the ConfigMgr WinPE images Certificate template?

I read that there is an Event ID 6317 in the status messages, where should I look for it?

  • Configuration Manager Status Message Viewer for <site> <Company> for the 1 year does not show this ID???

I checked \Administration\Overview\Security\Certificates and do not see any expiring certificate!!!

Thanks,

Dom

    Hi, @Duchemin, Dominique

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

Yes, it is the same certificate as the Distribution Point Certificate.

When the PXE DP cert is about to expire (in less than 30 days), the PXE server will generate a status message once a day. The status message ID is 6317.
