Applocker/ App Rules

Hello everyone,

I have had the applocker/package rules active (enforce rules) in our company for a few weeks and it works quite well for the most part. However, I always have problems when apps want to update themselves. I tested the package versions once with * and once with 0.0.0.0 (both package versions and higher), without success. Somehow Windows can't interpret it. For various apps, an entry appears in the Eventlog\Application and Service Log\Microsoft\Windows\Applocker\Package app-Deployment that execution was prevented. If I explicitly create a rule for the version that is in the log file, it works.

Surely it must be possible to use some kind of wildcard for each app in the package version?

greeting
