Cannot access file security

I had compressed a file to free up storage but when going back to extract all, it tells me that I do not have permission to this. My user is the only one on this system and an administrator account. I go to Properties and Security on this file and it tells me "the requested security information is either unavailable or can't be displayed". I do not know how to solve this issue, is there anything I can do?

Can you see takeownership option via Security tab?

If no, can you change Owner of the folder?

If you cannot see takeownership option, neither take the Owner.
You can start to safe mode and check if you can see takeownership option or take the Owner.

After you can take ownership of the folder, you can change the permission of the folder.

Apparently Daisy, you didn't read Lily's question.

She said that the Security Tab will not display the relevant information, and you actually responded by telling her to fix that via the information in the Security tab. Information she just told you was not accessible because she was getting an error message instead.

As it happens, I'm having the same problem. At least I will be until I switch to Linux, because getting the Windows 11 system I purchased to stop actively preventing me from using it for what it's for (in this case extracting a compressed folder to which I somehow don't have "permission") is apparently impossible.
