The Microsoft.ReportingServices.Designer.Controls assembly is documented in the .NET API Browser and offers features I want to use in my Windows Desktop application, like the RDLUpgrader Class and the RdlObjectModel classes.

Is the Microsoft.ReportingServices.Designer.Controls assembly redistributable with my application developed in Visual Studio and where can I get the assembly? The SQL Server .NET SDK is referenced as the product this library applies to, but I can't find that product as a download option anywhere.

    Hi @John Morrelles

I don't find an option to download the Microsoft.ReportingServices.Designer.Controls assembly separately. On my computer, it is downloaded together with the report builder or report designer application extension.
