VM Installation Will Not Boot Without ISO Present

I am new to Hyper-V and I am working with Server2022 in a test environment. I created a few virtual machines with various versions of Windows and set them to install from an ISO stored on a USB drive.

If I try to boot the VM without the USB drive connected, I get the attached error. It basically says it cannot start because it cannot find the iso used to install Windows.

If this is normal, I am OK with it and I'll make a folder for the iso files and be sure to leave them alone. Is there a setting I am missing that would let it boot after installation without the iso present?

Thanks!User's image

    Hi,

Please unmount the ISO and see if it works. Open Settings for the VM in the Hyper-V Manager and select the DVD Drive. Set the media to use with the virtual DVD drive to None.

    Best Regards,
