Duplicating a Deployment Share

Is there a way to duplicate a deployment share to another location by copying its entire structure? Will the configured tasks and sequences remain intact, or is there a need to recreate them when establishing a new deployment share? Is it possible to back up the current deployment share and subsequently restore it to the same or a different location? I am looking for a method that can save me time and effort in setting up a new deployment share.

Yes. All paths within the share are kept relative so that you can both move and copy deployment shares.

Most paths are relative. It's cleaner to create a new share and then CLOSE MDT and copy the following into the new share:

Applications, Captures, Control, Out-of-Box drivers, packages, any custom scripts (it helps to have a custom folder here), any scripts you have customized (DeployWiz_SelectTS.vbs for task sequence selection comes to mind here), and any extra folders you may have created to support MDT.

The only other delay here is generating your new WIM so you can add it to WDS.
