How to download a file from AVD through the new Windows App

Hi, I followed the instructions on this page on the Windows App, however, the files always get removed or disappear from the folder as soon as they are copied or pasted there. Is this a bug?

Firstly, apologies for the delay in responding here and any inconvenience this issue may have caused.

This issue needs deeper investigation. Support team will be able to check web client log files and investigate this further. I would recommend you to open a azure support case.

If you don't have a support plan enabled on your subscription, I request you to send an email to AzCommunity@Microsoft.com with Subject as "Attn:Vikas" referencing this thread along with your subscription ID. I can then enable your subscription with a one-time free technical support.

Once the issue is resolved, request you to post the resolution here for the benefit of community.

I'm not sure if I have a support plan because my company has a 365 subscription and I'm just one of the tennants.

Thanks for sharing the details.

When a file is uploaded to the remote VM on the web, it gets added to a virtual drive. That drive storage is temp browser storage.
If you want to use it within the VM longer than your session, from within the VM you should move it from the virtual drive to a location within the VM using the explorer on the VM.

Not sure if you read my question properly.

I wanted to download files from the AVD to my local desktop by placing the files into the virtual drive Downloads folder. However, as soon as I place any file into that folder, the files disappear without triggering the browser to download.

This only happens on the new Windows App which is currently in PREVIEW. Hope I've clarified your confusion.

Hi, I don't have any policy in place as the current web client is still working without any issue.
