Hi,

I have a user who is having issues with her location Suggestion not loading when trying to book a meeting. She gets the below and it stays like that for a long time. When I try on my Outlook I have no issues with loading up the available rooms.

I've tried:

  • repairing office, both quick and full
  • Reinstalling office
  • Deleting her Outlook profile and creating a new one

Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Brian

    Reset the location list

Reset the location list. This will clear out any cached location data and force Outlook to reload the suggestions from the server. To reset the location list, follow these steps:

    1. Open Outlook.
    2. Open a new calendar event.
    3. In the Location field, type "Reset" and then press Enter.
    4. Close the calendar event without saving it.

    Clear the Outlook cache

Clearing the Outlook cache can sometimes resolve issues with location suggestions not loading. To clear the Outlook cache, follow these steps:

    1. Close Outlook.
    2. Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.
    3. Type "%appdata%\Microsoft\Outlook" and then press Enter.
    4. Delete the following files:
    • OutlookCache.db
    • OutlookTemp.db
    • OutlookTempManifest.dat
    1. Restart Outlook.

    Hi @Brian Liu

    Welcome to our forum!

Please try the above suggestions @S.Sengupta to see if they help. If that doesn't work, try the following exclusion steps.

In order to better investigate this issue, please provide the following information:

What is the account type (POP/IMAP/Exchange)?

What version of the client is there? Please make sure to update to the latest version.

Please check if OWA works properly? If OWA works fine, then the problem is identified as the Outlook desktop client.

According to my tests, if you click blank and don't enter any keywords, the loading style shown on your diagram will appear. If you select the location option, all rooms will be displayed. Try selecting Location or entering a keyword.

Also, if the problem persists, please try resetting the appointment or meeting location list to check if there are any differences.
