Hi,

I've a subscription currently assinged to a existing billing profile and billing section.

When I perform the change in the next section, selecting a new billing profile and new invoice section, it gave me an error. The error doesn't give me much information to work on. I don't want to contact Azure support as that cost money.

Where can I find out the cause for the failure?

Thanks.

regards

James

@James Khow - Welcome to Microsoft Q&A and thanks for reaching out to us.

You can check the Activity Log to find more information about the error. The Activity Log provides a detailed record of all operations performed on your Azure resources, including any errors or warnings that occurred.

To view the Activity Log for your subscription, follow these steps:

    1. Login to the Azure portal and navigate to the subscription that you want to view the Activity Log for.
    2. Click on "Activity log" and you can filter the log entries by selecting the appropriate options in the "Filter" section. For example, you can filter by "Event category" to show only errors or warnings.
    3. Look for any log entries related to the operation that you were trying to perform, such as changing the billing profile or invoice section for a subscription. The log entry should provide more information about the error, including the error message and any error codes.
    4. You may need to adjust your settings or configuration to resolve the error.

Hope this helps. and please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.
