Does Back up and Restore (Windows 7) work for Windows 10?

Why is there a program of Back up and Restore (Windows 7) in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items on a Windows 10 system? Can I use the same to create in situ a system image and a system repair disc for the Windows 10 system where it is found? Shall I be able to use the same program to restore the computer from the system image thus created? Capture

the Back up and Restore program in Control Panel on a Windows 10 system is a legacy feature that was carried over from Windows 7 for backward compatibility purposes. While it is possible to use this program to create a system image and a system repair disc for a Windows 10 system, it is not recommended as it may not be fully compatible with the newer operating system.

It is recommended to use the built-in Windows 10 backup and restore features, such as File History and System Image Backup, to create a system image and a system repair disc for your Windows 10 system. These features are specifically designed for Windows 10 and are more reliable and efficient.

But I can only see creating a system image in this Windows 7 program. When I go to Backup from Settings, I can see only "Back up using File History". I don't want to back up files. I just want to create a system image and a repair disc in case the system fails. Please tell me where I can find Windows 10 creating system image and repair disc programs. Thanks!

Open the Control Panel.

Select "System & Security".

Select File History.

Select Create System Image in the left-hand menu.

Select the location where you want to back up your system image, such as an external hard drive or DVD.

Click "Next" and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the backup process.

I can't find the System & Security in the Control Panel but I can see the File History. I can see a System Image Backup in the left bottom corner of the File History. That is the correct program to use to create system image for Windows 10, isn't it?

Very helpful, and you did it without all the introductory nonsense that some people feel necessary to add. (Such as, "Oh I understand how annoying a Windows 7 back up can be on a Windows 10 machine! Don't you worrry blah blah blah.)
