Why is there a program of Back up and Restore (Windows 7) in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items on a Windows 10 system? Can I use the same to create in situ a system image and a system repair disc for the Windows 10 system where it is found? Shall I be able to use the same program to restore the computer from the system image thus created?Capture

    Hello @healee ,

the Back up and Restore program in Control Panel on a Windows 10 system is a legacy feature that was carried over from Windows 7 for backward compatibility purposes. While it is possible to use this program to create a system image and a system repair disc for a Windows 10 system, it is not recommended as it may not be fully compatible with the newer operating system.

It is recommended to use the built-in Windows 10 backup and restore features, such as File History and System Image Backup, to create a system image and a system repair disc for your Windows 10 system. These features are specifically designed for Windows 10 and are more reliable and efficient.

    Hope it helps.
