when creating blob storage from the free services section i get the following error:
"Validation could not be completed due to an error. If this issue persists, please contact support."

This issue is stopping me from creating a blob storage as the storage account name needs to be validated before the blob storage is created.

I have tried multiple names between 3 and 24 characters and still get this issue, better yet, when i enter something that the validation would not allow, it tells me that its wrong, this issue only shows up when a valid name is entered.

Does anyone know if i am doing something wrong or if this is a known issue that Microsoft is fixing?

@Tomas Kuzas Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum, Thank you for posting your query here!

Did you try to create a storage account in a different region?

It could a interim issue, try to create the storage account again through different browser.

Can you please try to create the Storage account using PowerShell or CLI and let me know the status: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/storage/common/storage-account-create?tabs=azure-portal

Refer to this section on Validation errors and check if you are seeing any of these.

Additional information: Try to sign up using Chrome and in an incognito window or clear all your browser cache and try using the Edge Browser.

Register 'Microsoft.storage' in the resource providers menu in the Azure subscription. Select the item and click on 'register' on the top of the page.
