Windows Key / Prntscrn does not work when the Remote PC is active.

How about the snipping tool? You can also find it in the Start menu, and they allow you to capture specific areas of the screen.
Or try using alternative screenshot shortcuts specific to the remote desktop software you are using. Some remote desktop applications have their own screenshot functionalities or shortcuts.

That worked! When logged on the remote laptop I used the snipping tool. It made a clip which I could save on the remote desktop with Paint. I could copy that to my primary PC. Thanks!
