We become indebted to.

When changing the DNS of Vnets and virtual machines created in Azure to on-premises DNS,

Changes on Azure

Virtual network → Overview → DNS server and

Network Interface → DNS Server → Custom

Will entering the IP of the on-premises DNS server in the 2 settings solve the problem?

On-premises and Azure communicate using ExpressRoute.

Also, will there be any changes to the virtual machine when changing the above two settings?

(RDP suddenly crashes, restarts automatically, etc.)

    @yusuke-s

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for reaching out & I hope you are doing well.

I understand that you would like to update your DNS of VNET to use OnPrem DNS Servers.

Yes, the configurations you've made is correct.

    To update VNET:

    • Virtual network → Overview → DNS server

    To update NIC:

    • Network Interface → DNS Server → Custom

There will not be any changes to the VM, however, for the settings to apply:

    • You must restart your VM

    Thanks,

    Kapil
