SharePoint site associated to private channel in MS teams appeared without groups.

Today, I received a request to check access to a private channel created in Microsoft Teams. Files located in SharePoint site associated to this private channel appeared available for only owners and not for members in this private channel. I compared other channels available in the same Team and I discovered that groups associated by default when you create a private channel were disappeared in the channel with issues:

I tried to create another private channel and groups appeared automatically assigned to this new channel and working fine.

How I can added the groups created for private channel with issues again?

Based on your description, I understand that you want to restore previous permissions for a private channel.

Here are steps:

1.Select the folder -> Manage access.

2.Click More options -> Advanced settings.

3.Click Delete unique permissions to restore previous permissions for a private channel.

Yes, you are right. Yesterday I investigated a little bit more after write my question and I did the exactly steps that you described in your answer but seems to be, the folder in SP has more than 100.000 items and then, when I did these steps to recover "unique permissions" I got the next issue below:

"You can't share this folder because there are too many items in the folder"

So, I think that solution could be move a subfolder located in big folder in this channel to another channel and then follow the steps shared by you above.

There are a similar solution here -but deleting folders and recovering it from recycler bin-:

In the document library of private folder, you could create several folders to store files to avoid exceeding the threshold. Then restore previous permissions.

In a fact, we have discovered that after delete unique permissions to recovery the inheritance, lot of subfolders and files into subfolders where not affect for it -Seems to be the only way is using PowerShell or using the way to describe above, move the folders to document library and then move it again to main folder. This way works. Thanks you!
