I want to ask a question about 【End of servicing plan for third-party printer driver on Windows】
I know that in 2026, Printer driver ranking order modified to always prefer Windows IPP inbox class driver.
Does this mean if I want to use third-party printer driver, I have to install Windows IPP inbox class driver at first(maybe installed by OS automatically), and then I can install the third-party driver by manually. In this situation, I have to install two drivers. Is this right？
Could you tell me some ways to install third-party driver only?
For example, make the third-party driver as inbox driver? Use command to install third-party driver only? Is there some configuration switch or so on?
