How to connect RDP with work or school account

I tried to use Remote Desktop to log into a PC on my company's local area network, but was unsuccessful. After entering my username and password, it displayed 'The credentials that were used to connect to <IP> did not work.' I am quite certain I entered my password correctly. After seeing some online solutions, I attempted to connect to the same computer's local account, and RDP was successful.

But I still want to log in that PC with work account. I have also tried using runas command "

runas /u:<username> cmd.exe

"but it showed that my user name or password is not correct.

My account is a work or school account, and I'm not sure if that's the reason.

    Hello,

There may be something wrong with authentication. You can check with your account administrator for details.

If you are a work / school account, your account needs to be authenticated by your organization.

If you are a local account, your credentials will be authenticated by your own pc.

    Regards,

    Karlie
