Hello community!
I have a problem with a bitlocker secured HDD. It is an 2 tb Western Digital Blue HDD WD20EZBX
It have two partition on it and i can't unlock them. If i type in the recovery key the HDD turns off. It only comes back if i turn off the PC completely and turn it on again. If i put it in a HDD docking station i can sometimes unlock it with the recovery key and access the data, but it tells me the device is write protected so i can't format it. If i try to format it without unlocking it gives CRC error.
I have an ASUS CS-B motherboard with TPM 1.2 enabled I runned Victoria HDD reading test it finishes without an error but if i try to write anything on it it's not working.
Please somebody could help?

    Hello

Is this HDD a data drive or installed with system? Is there any important data in this drive?

If there is any important data in the drive, it is recommended to contact the professional data recovery center for help.

If it is safe to format the drive, we could try the following steps:

    1. Since we have the recovery key, we could try to unlock the drive and turn off the bitlocker (run "manage-bde –off C:" with administrator command line) completely.

Then we could try to run "chkdsk C: /f /r" to check the health of the drive(change the drive letter based on your real scenario).

    1. Open administrator command line then run "format X: /fs:NTFS /force" (replace X: with your target drive letter). Or try to run "format X: /fs:NTFS /p:1".

    Best Regards,
