My computer is coming up with the below picture when I try to import photos. I have connected my phone through a cable and I have checked I have plenty of storage. I need to back up my phone's photos on my laptop and I have never had this problem before. How do I fix this?

Sometimes, restarting the Apple Mobile Device Service can be helpful.

    Hello

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble importing your photos. Here are some potential solutions that might help:

Keep your iPhone unlocked: Make sure your iPhone is unlocked during the importing process. Locked mode and Sleep mode can lead to interruptions because Apple devices cannot do any data transfer task with the state.

Check iPhone photo settings: Go to Settings and select Photos on your iPhone. Choose “Keep Originals” in the TRANSFER TO MAC OR PC section.

Ensure your Photos app is open: Make sure that the Photos app is open on your iPhone, and remains open. Also, ensure your phone is NOT in Battery Saving mode.

Disable Hardware Acceleration of Microsoft Photos: If Microsoft Photos is using hardware acceleration, this can lead to incompatibility between the Windows OS & iPhone. Disabling the hardware acceleration of Microsoft Photos may solve the problem.

Set the Startup Type of Apple Mobile Device Service to Automatic: If the Apple Mobile Data service is stuck in operation, changing its startup type to Automatic & restarting the service may solve the problem.

Enable Home Sharing in iTunes: Using the Home Sharing feature of iTunes can be used to clear the import glitch.

Remember to keep your iPhone screen on (i.e., not locked) during the import process. If these steps don’t work, you might want to consider using a different cable or port, or restarting both devices.
