Limit terminal users to the same amount of cal licenses

Hello, everyone.

we have a terminal server, and the other day I checked the licenses. It turned out that the server has 15 licences (per user) and 29 were issued.

Researching online I found out that in "Cal per user" mode, the licence server still issues them even after reaching the limit.

Is there a way to limit the number of users connected to the same amount of licences??

On the collection itself, I am able to limit the users at the same time, but it still does not fix the issue since a user can disconnect and the issued license lasts 90 days (or 60, can't remember right now).

Any help/tricks will be appreciated

    Hi,

Please be informed that there is no way to limit terminal users to the same amount of cal licenses if your licensing mode is per user.

To ensure you are in compliance with the Remote Desktop Services license term, you need to have enough RDS Per User CALs installed on the license server for all of your users. That means if your organization has 30 users need to remote connect the RDS server, you must purchase 30 CALs.

Even if a user disconect, the CAL issued to him cannot be revoked and assigned to another new user.

    For your reference.

    Thanks,
