Executable launched from electron app takes a long time

We have developed an Electron app—a web app wrapped in Chromium with access to certain Windows features—which also starts a backend server as executable when the application launches. We have noticed that launching this separate executable can take quite a long time—10, 20 even 30 seconds—and we were wondering how we can speed this up. Sometimes we can pinpoint Windows Defender as the cause, at other times it is unclear what causes the delay. The executable is code-signed. Do you have any suggestions for how we can find out what’s causing the long wait before the exe laucnhes?

    Hi @Mateo Mol

I want to help you, but your issue is out of Office support scope. I find the following link, maybe you could post new threads on the forums mentioned in this link for help.

    https://www.electronjs.org/community

The reason why we recommend posting appropriately is you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction with us.

    Thank you for your understanding.
