SharePoint workflow keeps sending emails

Question

I am using SharePoint designer 2013 also SP workflow 2013. I have a workflow to send an email to the people who is populated in the people field when an item is created in a list. However, the workflow keeps sending emails. I need the workflow only sends one email each time. How can I fix this issue?

Hi @Damie,

Firstly, please make sure the trigger of the workflow is "Creating a new item will start this workflow". And you should ensure your server performance and don't run too many workflows at the same time. Also go to workflow run history and see if there is any error there which may indicate the cause of this issue.
