Two PCs running windows 10 home. Both connected to a router by ethernet, on a windows 10 home private network.
The symptoms of my problem are simple - when I reboot either PC it is not found on the network. I can only find it by then doing a network reset.
Laptops using wifi work fine

Hello Gary,
Have you verified the IP configurations on both PCs by executing 'ipconfig/all' or from the settings/ network& internet >ethernet, then comparing the results when connected to Wi-Fi?
Have you checked if the IP addresses of the PCs change after a reboot, and if so, do they obtain a new IP address from the router's DHCP service?

The only two ethernet connected devices seem to have their own IP address on the network.
