How to pad packet sizes using PSPing tool
Anonymous
A code bug on one of our switch vendors causes PSPing packets to be dropped if they're received with a size below 60 bytes. The switch itself is the destination/target of these PSPing packets and are used as a piece of our monitoring solution to determine when/if the switch is available to take traffic.
Would like to pad the PSPing packets to increase their size to prevent this from happening while we wait for the switch vendor's code fix which will be released Q1 of '24.
