Few months ago I used a version of windows illegally activated using kms pico. I quickly un activated after finding out it was illegal. However during the illegal period i also upgraded my windows to win ten pro, probably by methods that used illegal product key. The first version of the windows was windows 7 which was probably not downloaded from an authentic windows store. Now i am using the non activated version of win 10 pro. So is my windows legal? Please give correct answer as our religion prohibits using of pirated softwares. Tell if buying original software is required or if there is a way to make the system legal in case my windows is counted pirated.

Buy a genuine Windows 10 Pro license from a reputable source. This can be done directly from Microsoft or an authorized retailer.

• Go to Settings > Update & Security > Activation on your Windows 10 system.
• Look for the option to Change Product Key or Upgrade Your Edition of Windows.
• Enter the new, genuine product key that you purchased. This should activate your Windows installation and make it legal.
