Does the same problem occur with the Teams web client? According to our research, some users are currently experiencing the same problem, and this should be a temporary issue with New Teams.
Please try clearing the Teams cache and restarting Teams to see if the issue is resolved. If the issue is not resolved, try using the Teams web client or Teams classic version.
