Change the contact number via exchange online

1. We do have john.dave@contoso.com mailbox. John wants us to update the mobile number. What RBAC access is required for exchange online administrator to update his mobile number. 2. Will this mobile number get updated throughout office 365 or any other changes are also required to be made considering we do have Azure AD (Entra I'd), SharePoint and Teams as a part of contoso.com domain environment.

1.We do have john.dave@contoso.com mailbox. John wants us to update the mobile number. What RBAC access is required for exchange online administrator to update his mobile number.

Mobile number cannot be modified via EAC and you might see the tip below when attempting to change the mobile phone in EAC:

In order to allow an Exchange administrator to change the phone number of a user, you'll need to assign the User Administrator role to the administrator via M365 admin center so that the admin would be able to update the mobile phone through M365 admin portal or Entra admin center.

2. Will this mobile number get updated throughout office 365 or any other changes are also required to be made considering we do have Azure AD (Entra I'd), SharePoint and Teams as a part of contoso.com domain environment.

The mobile number can get updated throughout Office 365, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams and Entra ID.
