We have a few Windows Server 2012 R2 server that will be decommissioned in a couple of months and until there we have to apply all security updates. But for the last Monthly updates regarding November 2023 these server do not get the updates via WSUS Server.

I applied all updates for all 60 Windows Server 2019 DC edition servers with no problems whatsoever.

So the following updates are not being deployed at all:

  • November 14, 2023-Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.6.2, 4.7, 4.7.1, 4.7.2, 4.8 for Windows Server 2012 R2 (KB5032343)
  • November 14, 2023—KB5032249 (Monthly Rollup)
  • KB5032308: Servicing stack update for Windows Server 2012 R2: November 14, 2023

The updates are approved, the client servers can communicate with WSUS server and vice-versa.

In the WSUS management console the updates appear as approved but are not needed by any server (that is the problem).Imagem

I have already tried to:

  • Disable windows firewall on both ends.
  • reset windows update client by deleting the folder software distribution.
  • Changed the computer objects from and back to the OU that they belong.
  • Installed MS Edge
  • Re-enabled IE with the command: dism /online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:Internet-Explorer-Optional-amd64

Thanks in advance.
