about Azure Automation Update Management solution

Hello,

We don't use Automation accounts, but we do have virtual machines.

Does this migration apply to us?

I believe it doesn't, as my understanding is that Azure Automation Update Management requires an Automation account.

Could you please confirm this?

As per the provided info you might not opted for Azure Automation Update Management, and if you want to enable Azure Automation Update Management you must have an automation account.
