As you can see the line numeration between page breaks skips numbers. How can I fix this? I need to keep track changes on since this is for a revised manuscript publication.

I need to use line numeration as well as track changes in a word document for a revised manuscript I am trying to publish. As soon as I turn on track changes, the numeration is not correct and jumps a few numbers at random between page breaks. Can this be fixed?

I would turn off the line numbering while doing tracked changes and put it back on when you have resolved the changes. I believe it tries to keep track of those numbers as well and virtually any edit can change them all when you have them set as continuous.

Could you share a sample document so that we can have a closer look? Of course, you should remove any sensitive information from the sample before sharing it.
